Happy Home Office

I am not exactly a “whistle while you work” kind of gal. I need to keep my home office design space bright and cheerful to get going in the mornings.  Besides positioning my desk in a naturally lit room, I stay perky with bright white furnishings and pops of color.  That and a plentiful supply of strong coffee keeps me happy–even if I’m not whistling.  -Bethany

Rustic Retreat

February 24, 2015

I grew up in northern New England and, to me, this bedroom design idea says “Rustic Chic!”  Lots of cozy elements–a faux fur throw, chunky knit pillow, and wool rug–would make any bedroom feel like a mountain retreat.  Apply these innovative peel-and-stick wooden slats to your walls, however, and you’ll swear you’ve just hopped a private jet to Gstaad! The Products Behind This Bedroom Design Idea 1. Nightstand / Land of Nod  2. Resin Antlers

Pretty Pattern Dining Room

December 28, 2014

Loosely based on my own dining room from my former lakeside apartment in Chicago, this dining room design idea relies on strong solid colors to ground the energy off the wallpaper and zebra rug.  Abstract artwork (actually a blown up corner of Monet’s Waterlilies!) ties it all together and adds another eye-catching element to create balance, not competition. Products Behind This Dining Room Design Idea 1. Lacquer Tray / CB2  2. Cage Pendant Light /
